Safe journey into old wounds is a immersive documentary theater in two parts by Eva Rún Snorradóttir. It was premiered in February '23 in the City Theatre of Reykjavík and ran until April '23. In this experiential theater Eva Rún delves into the HIV epidemic that raged in Iceland in the eighties and nineties of the last century through interviews and document collection. The viewer was invited to a poetic journey through a pandemic that, unlike the one that just raged, was shrouded in shame and silenced.
